GIIS is honoured to receive Special Commendation from Institute of Directors for Golden Peacock Global Business Excellence award recognition. This is the second recognition from Institute Of Directors and the significance of this award is that it based on the EFQM model.

EFQM Excellence Model

This is the first application made by GIIS for the Golden Peacock Global Business Excellence award for an EFQM based model.

The EFQM Excellence Model is a structure for the organisations management system. It can be used as a part of a self-assessment as well as a framework for comparison with other organisations. It also helps in identifying areas for improvement. It is a non-prescriptive framework based on nine criteria. Five of these are Enablers and four are Results. The Enablers criteria cover what an organisation does and how it does it. The Results criteria cover what an organisation achieves. Results are caused by Enablers and Enablers are improved using feedback from Results.

The main uses of the EFQM Excellence Model are they provide organisations with an integrated approach to management of organisational performance to achieve improvement in the delivery of value to customers and stakeholders, overall organisational effectiveness and capabilities and organisational and personal learning.

The Model is focused on ensuring delivery of value to customers and other stakeholders through a set of specific criteria for organisational effectiveness.
